King David’s confession in Psalm 51 shows us a proper response to sin.
Never suppose that because He has blessed you He is pleased with you. God wants perpetual brokenness, a life dedicated to doing His will. Nothing less will please Him.

You can sulk at your Creator and charge Him with injustice, or you can acknowledge His Sovereign will and take whatever necessary steps you can to see that your children do not suffer for your sins.
