Charles Stanley on The Landmine of Fear

This is a great sermon on fear

The origin of all sin is not trusting God. Once faith is broken, sin enters. The topic of fear is found all throughout the bible. It is the core of what prevents us from trusting and having faith in God.

There are 4 main fears to consider:
1) Poverty
2) Death
3) Loss of Love
4) Bad Health
5) Criticism & Feeling Rejected

Anchor verses in reference to fear:
Do not tremble and do not be afraid;
Have I not long since announced it to you and declared it?
And you are My witnesses
Is there any God besides Me,
Or is there any other Rock?
I know of none.'"- Isaiah 44:8

So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
- Isaiah 41:10

Charles Stanley on Facing Our Loneliness

If you have a feeling of loneliness or want to understand someone who might be feeling lonely, this is a great sermon to watch. We all experience loneliness at one point in time or another. I highly recommend watching part 1 as well.

Powerful Sermon on Judgement

Andy Stanley delivers a powerful sermon on judgement. Check it out!
http://www.northpointministries.org/player/player.jsp?occurrenceID=2251
Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you. "Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother's eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? - Matthew 7:1-3

How To: Approach the Bible

I was listening to a sermon this morning given by Voddie Baucham at North Point Community Church, www.northpoint.org/messages. The message was called "Getting Your House in Order". He did a great job framing-up how to approach the bible. He said, "In real estate the name of the game is location, location, location. With the bible it is context, context, context." We so often see the Word misinterpreted and manipulated. Understanding exactly what the context means is so important to understanding how we should act and react to everything we encounter.
